Textiles Teacher – Surrey Secondary School
An Outstanding secondary school in Surrey is seeking a creative and skilled Textiles Teacher to join their Art and Design/Design Technology department (clarify which department if known). This is a full-time, permanent position, teaching primarily Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for Key Stage 5).
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver inspiring and engaging Textiles lessons that develop students' creative and technical skills.
- Teach a range of textile techniques, including sewing, pattern cutting, fabric manipulation, and surface decoration.
- Encourage students to explore different materials, processes, and design concepts.
- Create a safe and supportive studio environment.
- Assess student progress effectively and provide constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the development of the Textiles curriculum.

Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A degree in Textiles, Fashion, or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching Textiles at the secondary level.
- Strong practical skills in a range of textile techniques.
- Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
- A desire to work as a Textiles Teacher
