About the Role:
- Deliver engaging and challenging Physics lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, following relevant examination specifications, and adapting to the needs of students joining mid-year by providing advanced bridging materials and accelerated learning pathways.
- Foster a love of physics in students, encouraging them to develop their analytical, critical thinking, and research skills, and to appreciate the complexity of the physical world.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment, and to contribute to the wider academic and extracurricular life of the school, including participation in science competitions and research projects, with a focus on team integration and collaboration.
- Organize and lead laboratory investigations, research projects, and science-related activities, promoting hands-on learning and scientific inquiry, and providing opportunities for students to showcase their work.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge in Physics, including advanced physical concepts and laboratory techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including A-Level.
- Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Physics examinations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate high-achieving students, including those joining mid-year.
- A passion for physics and a commitment to fostering scientific inquiry and research skills.
- Ability to organize and lead laboratory investigations and research projects.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, and to quickly integrate into a school environment mid-year.
