SENCO – Progressive Secondary School – Bath – April Start

Location: Bath
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR

A progressive and inclusive secondary school in Bath is looking for a SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to lead its outstanding SEN department. This role is ideal for an experienced SEN teacher or current SENCO looking to make a meaningful impact.

Your Role as a SENCO:

Lead and coordinate the SEND provision across the school.
Work with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to ensure inclusive education.
Develop EHCPs and support students with additional needs.
Provide staff training on inclusive teaching strategies.
Oversee assessment, monitoring, and intervention plans.

Who We’re Looking For:

A qualified SENCO with the National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to complete).
Strong experience working with SEND students in a school setting.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
A passion for inclusive education and student well-being.
Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to obtain one).
