Your Mission as an Accountant
As an Accountant, you will play a critical role in managing financial records, ensuring tax compliance, overseeing import-related finances, and optimizing financial procedures. Your expertise will help maintain the financial health of the company while ensuring accuracy in all accounting operations.
You will be handling these duties and responsibilities as an Accountant:
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare monthly and annual financial statements.
- Maintain financial records in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including tax returns, payments, and required documentation.
- Handle all bank reconciliation tasks, including managing bank accounts and verifying charges.
- Manage cash flow, including handling cash reports, cash deposit slips, and goods received notes.
- Track shipments, update shipment trackers, and ensure smooth delivery processes.
- Oversee import procedures, liaising with customs, suppliers, and operations teams for efficient documentation processing.
- Prepare shipping documents (Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Country of Origin certificates, etc.).
- Coordinate with shipping agents to manage Bills of Lading (BL).
- Collaborate with internal departments to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize expenses.
- Handle insurance, customs, and port-related financial processes.
- Perform any other accounting and finance-related tasks as required.
Qualifications and Skills that will allow you to thrive as a Accountant:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
- English proficiency is a must.
- Must be proficient in English.
- Experience in the retail industry is a plus.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Suite.
- Odoo software experience is an added advantage.
- Professional certifications in accounting (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus.
