You will play an essential role in assisting teachers and delivering high-quality support to students, contributing to their success and well-being.
Role Highlights:
- Full-time, permanent position at a prestigious secondary school in Hillingdon
- Provide in-class support across a variety of subjects, working closely with teachers to ensure effective learning and student engagement
- Lead small group sessions, offering targeted interventions to students who need additional support
- Assist in planning and preparing lessons and resources to ensure all students have access to the curriculum
- Monitor student progress and contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with additional learning needs
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment, promoting student confidence and independence
- Work collaboratively with SENCOs, teachers, and external specialists to provide a holistic approach to student support
Experience & Qualifications:
- HLTA qualification or equivalent (essential)
- Previous experience supporting students in a secondary school setting, ideally with students who have SEN or additional needs
- Strong understanding of the secondary curriculum and the ability to adapt support for diverse learners
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting students and teachers
- Enhanced DBS check required
