Your Role as a KS1 SEN Class Teacher:
🔹 Plan and deliver engaging, multi-sensory lessons tailored to students with SEN needs, including ASD, ADHD, and speech & language difficulties.
🔹 Differentiate the KS1 curriculum to ensure accessibility and individual progress for each child.
🔹 Foster a positive and structured classroom environment, promoting confidence and independence in young learners.
🔹 Work closely with SENCOs, support staff, and therapists to implement EHCPs and Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
🔹 Use adaptive teaching techniques to meet the needs of students with diverse learning abilities.
🔹 Collaborate with parents, carers, and external professionals to provide a holistic approach to education.
🔹 Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to support continued development.
Who We’re Looking For:
✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
✅ Experience working with students with SEN, preferably in a specialist or inclusive KS1 setting.
✅ A creative, patient, and nurturing approach to teaching.
✅ Strong knowledge of SEN strategies, differentiation, and early childhood education.
✅ Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
✅ An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
