Your Role as a SEN Teaching Assistant:
🔹 Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with special educational needs, assisting them in accessing the curriculum.
🔹 Support students with emotional and social development, helping them build confidence and positive relationships.
🔹 Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement learning strategies and tailor activities to meet the individual needs of students.
🔹 Help manage student behaviour, ensuring a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
🔹 Assist with monitoring and recording progress, offering feedback and insights to help guide further learning.
🔹 Foster a safe and supportive environment, where all students feel respected and encouraged to succeed.
Who We’re Looking For:
✅ Previous experience working with students with SEN is preferred but not essential.
✅ A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to working with children.
✅ Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents.
✅ A genuine passion for supporting children’s development and helping them thrive in the classroom.
✅ An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
