A fantastic specialist secondary school in Brent is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join their team from April 2025. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that encourages student confidence and independence.
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the SENCO and support staff.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies to ensure continued development.
- Work closely with colleagues, external professionals, and families to provide holistic support for students.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to the ongoing development of SEN provision within the school.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with students with SEN, ideally in a secondary or specialist setting.
- Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and the ability to differentiate lessons effectively.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students with additional needs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Enhanced DBS check required.
