About the Role:
- Teach History at A Level, inspiring and challenging students to deepen their understanding of historical events and their significance.
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
- Support students in conducting independent research, developing their analytical skills, and preparing for their A Level History examinations.
- Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our History curriculum remains relevant and challenging.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the college to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in History education.
Ideal Candidate:
- Holds QTS or equivalent.
- Possesses excellent subject knowledge in History.
- Demonstrates a passion for teaching History and a commitment to student success.
- Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and stimulating learning environment.
- Has a good understanding of the A Level History specifications and assessment requirements.
- Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
