Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver dynamic and engaging maths lessons to students across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that fosters a deep understanding of mathematical concepts, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through both formative and summative assessments.
- Provide tailored feedback to support individual student growth and improvement.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students can succeed and develop a love for maths.
- Work closely with colleagues to share best practices, contribute to department goals, and engage in continuous professional development.
- Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Mathematics, Maths Education, or a related field.
- A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- Proven experience teaching maths at secondary school level (KS3 to KS5) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mathematics theory and practical application, with the ability to teach from KS3 through to KS5.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to succeed in their mathematical studies and beyond.
