About the Role:
- Teach Business Studies and Economics across Key Stages 4 and 5, with the possibility of teaching at Key Stage 3 depending on experience and interest.
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
- Use a range of teaching methods and resources, including case studies, simulations, guest speakers, and real-world examples, to bring Business Studies and Economics to life for students.
- Assess student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys.
- Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our Business Studies and Economics curricula remain relevant and challenging.
- Foster a love of business and economics in students, encouraging them to explore the world of commerce and develop their entrepreneurial skills.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in business and economics education.
Ideal Candidate:
- Holds QTS or equivalent.
- Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Business Studies and Economics.
- Demonstrates a passion for teaching these subjects and a commitment to student success.
- Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and stimulating learning environment.
- Has a good understanding of the National Curriculum for Business Studies and Economics and relevant examination specifications.
- Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
