Role Highlights:
- Full-time, permanent position at a specialist independent school in Lambeth
- Teach PE to students with a variety of special educational needs (SEN), including autism, learning difficulties, and SEMH
- Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons, ensuring all students can participate and benefit from physical activity
- Encourage students to engage in physical fitness and sports, fostering a sense of teamwork, discipline, and self-confidence
- Adapt lessons to meet the individual needs of students, using differentiation strategies to ensure inclusivity
- Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists, and other teachers to create a holistic approach to students’ development
- Promote healthy lifestyles and positive physical activity as part of the school’s curriculum
- Encourage and support students in building social skills through group activities and sports
Experience & Qualifications:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching PE, ideally in a special educational needs (SEN) setting, or working with students with additional learning needs
- Strong understanding of how to adapt PE lessons for students with SEN
- A passionate and enthusiastic approach to physical education, with the ability to inspire students
- Ability to create an inclusive, supportive, and motivating environment for students of all abilities
- Excellent communication and teamworking skills
- Enhanced DBS check required
