Job Details:
The Accounting Manager will manage daily accounting operations, ensuring efficient and compliant processing of all accounting transactions. This role focuses on producing financial statements, supporting long-term planning with accurate budget projections, and developing junior accountants' skills in transaction processing, compliance, and efficiency. The Accounting Manager is accountable for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of daily accounting operations, tax compliance, and financial reporting. This role supports strategic planning by developing financial forecasts and managing budgets. The Accounting and Budget Manager will also implement internal controls for transaction processing and supervise junior accountants, enhancing their skills and ensuring adherence to compliance and operational standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Daily Accounting Operations
a. Manage billing, collections, payroll, and disbursements processes.
b. Ensure accuracy and timeliness in all accounting transactions.
2. Internal Controls in Accounting Transaction
a. Implement and monitor controls within daily accounting processes to minimize errors and prevent fraud.
3. Financial Statement Preparation and Analysis
a. Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
b. Conduct reconciliations and analyses to maintain financial accuracy.
4. Projections and Monitoring
a. Monitor and manage projected Net Present Value (NPV), operational expenditures (OPEX), and sales revenue to achieve financial targets.
b. Collaborate with other departments to align financial forecasts with operational plans.
5. Performance Analysis
a. Prepare detailed reports on sales performance and collection performance every month.
b. Evaluate trends in sales and collections to identify areas for improvement and recommend strategies to enhance financial outcomes.
6. Supervision and Development of Junior Accountants
a. Supervise junior staff and focus on enhancing their transaction efficiency and accounting skills.
b. Provide regular training and mentorship to support their career development.
7. Adhere to quality and compliance standards as part of our Information Security Management System. This includes following documented processes, participating incontinuous improvement, and maintaining accurate records. Each team member is responsible for supporting a safe, efficient, and customer-focused work environment.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND/WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
- 5+ years in accounting or financial management, with experience in budgeting and team leadership.
- CPA or similar professional certification preferred.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, reporting, and systems. Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a high-growth company, with experience in fintech or a related industry preferred.
- Proven experience in leading and developing large, cross-functional teams; exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in the FinTech or related industries is an advantage.
Non-negotiable Qualifications:
- CPA not required
- Must have at least 3-5years people management experience
- Must have experience in a fast faced industry ( baking , fintech or BPO)
