Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons for Year 2 students, helping them develop critical literacy, numeracy, and foundational skills.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages children to be enthusiastic and confident learners.
- Continuously assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and setting achievable targets for improvement.
- Use innovative teaching strategies to make learning enjoyable and accessible to all students, ensuring they are motivated and inspired.
- Work closely with fellow staff to ensure effective curriculum delivery and share best practices for teaching.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
- Participate in professional development and school-wide activities to enhance your teaching practice.
Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Key Stage 1, particularly in Year 2 or similar primary experience.
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective assessment techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for teaching young children and creating an inclusive, engaging classroom environment.
- Ability to differentiate teaching to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
